Job Description

RETAIL ASSOCIATE

As a Retail Associate at GEEK’d Orlando, you’ll be the friendly face welcoming fans of trading cards, tabletop games, and collectibles. You’ll provide knowledgeable service, maintain store organization, and help create an engaging and inclusive space for all gaming enthusiasts.

  • Greet and assist customers with product questions, recommendations, and purchases

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trading card games (e.g., Pokémon, Lorcana, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece) and tabletop products (Warhammer, D&D, etc.)

  • Process transactions accurately using the store’s POS system

  • Restock shelves, merchandise displays, and ensure store cleanliness and organization

  • Support inventory checks, tagging, and receiving shipments

  • Promote in-store events, game nights, and community activities

  • Handle customer concerns professionally and efficiently

  • Stay informed about new product releases and in-store promotions

  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers and players

Job Description

Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager at GEEK’d Orlando helps lead day-to-day operations, supporting the store manager in creating an engaging, organized, and welcoming environment for all customers. With a strong passion for trading card games and tabletop culture, the Assistant Manager helps drive sales, coach team members, and ensure smooth store functionality.

  • Assist in overseeing daily store operations and ensure exceptional customer experiences

  • Lead by example in product knowledge, sales, and customer service

  • Support the training, coaching, and development of retail associates

  • Help manage scheduling, timecards, and team communication

  • Oversee inventory management, restocking, and product merchandising

  • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing

  • Resolve customer concerns or issues with professionalism and care

  • Stay current on product releases, industry trends, and in-store promotions

  • Support planning and promotion of store events, tournaments, and community nights

  • Act as the store lead in the manager’s absence

What We’re Looking For

Our Ideal Applicant 

  • Has a friendly, approachable, and customer-first attitude

  • Is passionate about trading card games (like Pokémon, MTG, Union Arena, Riftbound) and tabletop gaming

  • Has basic knowledge of or interest in Warhammer, Dungeons & Dragons, and board games

  • Communicates clearly and professionally with customers and teammates

  • Has previous retail or customer service experience (preferred)

  • Is dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends

  • Keeps close attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized store

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Is eager to learn about new games, products, and trends in geek culture

  • Contributes to a welcoming and inclusive space for players of all backgrounds
